Four participants journeyed together on the “Way of Elizabeth” pilgrimage, a 9-day tour of places significant to Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton during her time in the northeastern United States. Novice Director Donna Steffen and historian Judith Metz led the group to Manhattan, the White House, the Garden and the National Shrine of Elizabeth Ann Seton in Emmitsburg, Paca Street in Baltimore, Fells Point, Staten Island, and many more. The group also made stops at the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill, Daughters of Charity, Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, and Sisters of Charity of New York.
The participants included Leavenworth Candidate Victoria Hood, Cincinnati Affiliate Whitney Schieltz, Cincinnati Novice Romina Sapinoso, and Seton Hill Novice Hyeon Lee. Each of these women is part of the Future of Charity group, and is discerning her future as a Sister of Charity.
