In March, the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, Convent Station, New Jersey, and the Sisters of Charity of New York, Bronx, held chapters of elections and announced new leadership teams.

On March 11, the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth announced the election of Maureen Shaughnessy, SC, general superior; Cecilia McManus, SC, assistant general superior; Maryanne Campeotto, SC, councilor; Ellen Farrell, SC, councilor; Elizabeth Kremp, SC, councilor;  and Judith Mertz, SC, councilor. The new council will take office July 1.
