Reflections on Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton

Join us live on Facebook for reflections on Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, the first American-born saint and founder of the Sisters of Charity. Elizabeth was also a wife and widowed mother of five children who converted to Catholicism. On the occasion of her feast day, January 4, Sisters Ellen, Maryanne, Mary Jo and Monica will talk about the virtues of humility, charity and simplicity which are at the heart of Elizabeth’s teaching. Audience participation is welcomed, encouraged, and eagerly anticipated!

Talks will be given in English and begin at 9 p.m. Eastern. This year’s schedule:

  • Sunday, January 5: Humility — Sister Ellen Dauwer, SC (Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth)
  • Monday, January 6: Charity — Sister Maryanne Ruzzo, SC (Sisters of Charity Halifax)
  • Tuesday, January 7: Simplicity — Sister Mary Jo Stein, DC (Daughters of Charity, Province of St. Louise)
  • Wednesday, January 8: Wrap-up — Sister Monica Gundler, SC (Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati)

I am an associate in Saint John New Brunswick and was wondering if there was any to receive “reflections on Elizabeth Ann Seton.” I do not have a Facebook account however I have included my email.

    Hello Ellen,
The Seton Shrine does offer occasional reflections. I would suggest visiting their web site and following them on Facebook. https://setonshrine.org/category/news-reflections/
